Privacy and Community Policies

Information we handle

North Pole 3D Printing handles information you choose to provide, including contact details, account sign-in information, custom-print instructions and uploaded files, pickup or shipping details, and order records.

Our systems also receive ordinary technical information such as IP address, browser type, requested pages, timestamps, security events, and session or cookie identifiers. On the general storefront, Google Analytics helps us understand which pages work well. We do not sell personal information or use the site for targeted advertising.

When you send a help request, we save your message, any optional email or phone number you provide, and basic page and device details that help us understand where the problem occurred. Optional contact information is used only to reply to that request and is not added to Star Story or a mailing list.

Payment card details are entered on Stripe's hosted payment experience and are not stored by North Pole 3D Printing. We receive payment status, amount, and transaction references needed to complete and support the order.

Custom print files

Files and project notes submitted through Print My File are used to inspect printability, prepare an estimate, communicate about the request, produce an accepted order, and support fulfillment. Uploaded files are scanned with ClamAV before processing. Please remove personal information from model files and notes unless it is needed for the project.

Star Story and family privacy

Star Story is a family experience. A child should not enter a real name, email address, phone number, home address, school, or other identifying details. A parent or guardian should handle any reconnect or privacy request.

Star Story stores a random visitor identifier, Guide and story choices, Stars, game results, personal bests, and workshop memories. These records are private to the connected visitor and are not posted publicly. A signed connection cookie keeps the browser connected for up to 180 days; a temporary unlock cookie lasts up to 15 minutes.

The optional reconnect field is for a parent or guardian. The address is passed to Google's Gmail service only to deliver the reconnect message and is not stored with the Star Story. We store a one-way digest of the reconnect token so the link can be checked without storing the token itself.

General-site Google Analytics is not loaded on Star Story or the Fun Games routes. Parents and guardians may ask us to review, delete, or stop further collection of a child's Star Story information by using the contact methods below.

Services that help operate the site

We use service providers only for the work they perform for us: Google Cloud for hosting and databases; Google for general-site analytics, sign-in, and email delivery; Stripe for payments; Twilio for phone verification; ShipStation for shipping rates and labels; and ClamAV for malware scanning. These providers may process information under their own privacy terms and security controls.

Retention and security

We keep order, payment, shipping, and tax records for the periods needed to operate the business and meet legal obligations. Project files, account records, and Star Story information are kept only while needed for the service, support, fraud prevention, or a valid legal requirement. Verified deletion requests are honored unless a record must be retained for an order, dispute, security investigation, or legal obligation.

We use access controls, secret management, encrypted connections, limited service accounts, file scanning, and audit records. No system can promise perfect security, so please do not submit sensitive information that the service does not request.

Your choices

• You can browse most public pages without creating an account.
• You can block or clear cookies in your browser, although Star Story and account sessions may no longer reconnect.
• You can ask to access, correct, or delete personal information associated with you or your child.
• You can ask us to stop marketing contact. Transactional order and security messages may still be sent when needed.

Community expectations

Do not submit content that exposes another person's private information, threatens or harasses someone, infringes intellectual property, or is unlawful or unsafe. We may remove content or restrict access when needed to protect customers, families, staff, or the service.

Privacy requests and questions

Call or visit either North Pole 3D Printing store and ask for privacy support. We may need to verify that a request comes from the customer, parent, or guardian connected to the record.

Policy changes

When these practices materially change, we will update this page and its effective date. Changes affecting a child's information may require additional notice or parent action before they take effect.
